Tuesday Group.
The Group started in September 1963 as the "Young Wives Group" and celebrated their 60th Anniversary in December 2023.
Our Programme for the current year is as follows:
September 8th Annual General Meeting
October 13th "The Chesterfield Canal". Rob Auton will tell its history and talk about the current major restoration project.
November 10th "Portraying the Greatest Gift of All" - Rob Knotts tells the history of the Nativity.
December 8th Christmas Celebrations with a return visit of "The Bus Pass Buskers"
January 12th Our Charity.
February 9th "The Sheffield Gang Wars" - an illustrated talk by Martin Rowley.
March 9th "RNV Nepal" Robert Keen explains this charity's work promoting education in this poor Country.
April 13th "Images of Wildlife and Wild Places" Steve Drinkall tours some of the Scottish islands.
May 11th "Boarding Schools for Girls in Victorian Derbyshire" Liz Keeley preents and interesting and entertaining talk.
June 8th "Laughter is still the Best Medicine" Alan Swann returns to give us another hilarious afternoon.
If any ladies would like to join us, we are a very welcoming group. The Ladies Group meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 2.30pm in our Hall. Visitors are welcome, charge £4.
